lance brazo-fuerte

today we did a bicycle tour of barcelona. sooo much better than walking everywhere and making up theories for how and why everything was constructed, and about 10 times as fun.

we saw a lot of the same stuff that we had already seen the first few days, but got a ton more interesting background info on it all and got to ride through the crazy streets of barcelona the whole way. plus, bunny hops. mad bunny hops! that's me, post-bunny hop in front of the arc de triumph.

the first cool new site we saw was the barcelona museum of contemporary art. i only got a pick of the cool window colors. i figured dustin would love them. directly below windows were dream ledges for skaters. just long, black, smooth ledges with gradual slopes in either direction with a big drop on one edge. by the end of the day the plaza was full of little shredding spaniards. cool to see art, architecture and skaters kind of meshing into one in a public place and not being arrested.

the highlight of the tour was more cool gaudi shite. that guy was an insane architect. here's a building he built a few blocks away from his amazing sagrada familia. his "no straight lines in nature, they are man-made entities" philosophy makes his designs so much cooler. this one was modeled after the sea.

we had way too much fun on the bikes, and ended up just enjoying the ride instead of snapping a bunch of pics. but when we got back to la rambla we found the best human statue of them all, so far....

Way to outflare the ambiguous gay couple.

All this Gaudi guy's architecture looks like it was brought up from some underwater world where everything is made of sand.
