landed in london and ended up stuck on the runway for another hour with every standing and waiting to get off the plane until our genius pilot informed everyone that the reason we were unable to disembark was because his parking job was literally 6 inches short, which he blamed on the guy with the little cone flashlight. cheers.
the highlight of the tube ride to our hotel was all of us snickering everytime the final tube stop was announced as "CockFosters". they announced it 17 times. still funny.
our hotel is absolutely insane, thanks to christy. with frosted glass doors everywhere and a phone for the toilet. if they put a flat screen in there i fear i may not ever make it outside.
last night we decided to hit the street and check out the uber touristy sites. big ben isn't so cool, from far away, but absolutely astonishing when you stand next to it.
spent some time drinking "extra cold guinness" from the tap at the prince albert pub near westminster chapel. and followed it up with one of the few eateries open on the walk back, McDonalds. sorry, the nuggets were calling.
